Identity is a seven-week course that examines the gospel of John to clear up confusion. Many people find they are asking questions about the purpose of life. Who am I? Who is God? Can I connect with God? This course allows for discussion and seeks to reveal more about the identity of Jesus Christ and why he is the key to life and the one who can answer our big questions.

Venue: Strathpeffer Community Centre (Wyvis Room).
Time: Mondays, 7.30 pm to 9 pm from 13th February 2012.

Courses this Autumn 2011

We recommend courses and small groups as an ideal and friendly way to learn more about Christianity and grow in the faith.

Beginning at 6 pm on Monday 31st October 2011 we offer CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED, a newly revised and updated seven-week introduction to the Christian faith, based on Mark’s gospel. We only have one life. What is it all about?

Each evening begins with a meal in Dingwall Free Church hall at 6 pm, followed by a time of discussion and a video, and finishing around 8.15 pm. The hall is behind the church. Parking is available in the church grounds and on Park Street.

From time to time we also offer DISCIPLESHIP EXPLORED (a follow up study based on the book of Philippians) and a course on CHURCH MEMBERSHIP (The House that Jesus Built) and a short course for MARRIAGE PREPARATION.

A short course introducing Jesus Christ

Is it time for you to Explore?
Christianity Explored - Soul is a short course for anybody who would like to investigate Christianity for the first time, or just brush up on the basics. In a relaxed setting it addresses the questions of how we can know God, who Jesus Christ was, and what it means to follow him.
 No-one is asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. If you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.

What is an evening like?
The evening starts with a tea, coffee and cake and includes a short talk or DVD video on an aspect of Christian belief, as well as plenty of time for discussion and questions in small groups. Everyone who joins the course is given a free copy of Mark’s gospel (one of the records of Jesus’ life) and you are invited to check out the claims of Jesus for yourself. There will be a couple of Christians who will try to answer questions and facilitate the discussion.

How long is the course and do I have to come every week? The course runs for 7 weeks. You don’t have to sign up for the whole thing: by all means come for one evening and see how you get on.

When is the course? This course started at 7.15 pm on Monday 7th March 2011 For the first four sessions we met at the LOFT at THE GREENHOUSE in the High Street. For weeks five to seven we meet at the Dingwall Free Church building. Each evening will finish by 8.45 pm.

The remaining dates are Monday 9th May, a Day Away to Cromarty on Saturday 21st May, and a final session on Monday 23rd May.
